Kandis believes in the transformational power of a life lived in Jesus Christ.
A life lived in Jesus is not a “religious” life, it’s receiving Him as Savior, Lord, and the Way of life. It is a relationship that transforms a person from the inside out. Knowing who Jesus is informs who we are. Living this way should make a person powerful, purposeful, and passionate! It is a life lived on purpose and with joy!
Kandis (and her husband, Scott) mentor young adults, first responders, and couples to help them connect with Jesus and learn to live out this radically whole and empowered life God designed for us.

Kandis values learning to live a spiritually whole life.
This is actual integrity.
We tend to think of whole as meaning complete, unmodified, unhurt, or unbroken, and so we give up on it altogether. Then we just equate survival with strength.
But wholeness in a person is more like the path of a projectile than the current status of a stationary object.
There is a trajectory of life where wholeness is the path of your life in motion.
Kandis values the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God is God’s way of doing things. It is His order, His provision, and His purposes. Jesus says that we are supposed to pray for God’s Kingdom here on earth (Matt 6).
When someone is a follower of Jesus, everything about their life should usher in the Kingdom of God.
But this kind of life requires a radical shift toward obedience and wholeness to see the fruit of God’s power in full effect through our lives.
Kandis values honesty.
Honesty is about facing reality about who God is and the state of our soul at this present moment.
This is step one to any healing, any power, or any other revelation about God.
We have to be real before we can be whole. And we have to be whole before we can be effective.

Kandis has been following Jesus for the better part of 30 years and helping others to do the same for nearly as long.
That journey got rocky when she discovered that “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” isn’t the life God has for us, and her try harder meant the bottom fell out under her life. She had to re-learn to relate to God, to let Him truly heal her from the inside out, and then re-learn how to relate to everyone else.
As she navigated this tumultous new life with her husband, he was also learning how to be whole when his career was a daily warzone. Scott is a USMC vet, Austin firefighter, and security specialist. Scott and Kandis had to re-learn how to approach life and their jobs in a way that allowed them to stay mentally healthy, stay connected to one another, and (most importantly) allow God to enter the dark places they regularly encountered.
God met them in the dark places.
God healed the dark places in their souls.
And then God taught them how to re-enter every arena of life with His power, so that they could actually usher in the Kingdom of God and uproot the kingdom of darkness.
Instead of just surviving the storm, they brought the winds of change.
As God continued to teach them, He also opened doors for Scott and Kandis to begin to minister to other first responders, military members, young adults, and married couples to help them experience the wholeness God had brought to them. They are deeply planted in the church, but the greatest opportunities are those that exist outside of those four walls to bring the Kingdom of God right where people live, work, and study.
Both Scott and Kandis consider it their life’s privilege to help others experience Christ and walk in the wholeness God has for them. The live to see people learn to walk into every arena that God has entrusted to them and usher in the Kingdom of God wherever they go!
Kandis now holds a MA in Christian Ministry and a BA in Biblical Literature and Communication from Oral Roberts University. She is a published author, professor of Christian leadership, Christian coach, and home educator to her teenaged children.
